A giant midnight balloon drop (with a hidden apple) and light show will welcome you to 2017. (…and you don’t have to risk frostbite.)
The luxurious Grand Ballroom is one of the most elegant in Washington. It has seen the celebrations of many of America’s leading official inaugural Balls (since FDR) as well as history’s most important figures from the United States and around the world. Dressed in full native traditional African outfits, we will be dazzled by their interactive show and energy. Afterwards, they will stay around for pictures and to answer any questions you may have. Tonight, we will have a special Henna artist on hand to bring this fascinating art form from Bahrain, the UAE, Egypt and the Gulf our Gala. Patrons may wish to add a special decorative 2017 celebratory touch to this Middle Eastern classic.

SUPPORT THE ziMS FOUNDATION: In 1995, Ryan Zimmerman’s mother Cheryl was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, a chronic and unpredictable disease that affects the central nervous system. MS affects roughly 400,000 Americans and can impact the body in almost as many ways. The ziMS Foundation was founded by Ryan in June of 2006. The Foundation is dedicated to the treatment and ultimate cure of Multiple Sclerosis. In 2013, ziMS surpassed the Million dollar mark for donations, which were given to MS medical research and MS therapy programs. As part of our 2017 Resolution, we are going to basing our members to raise personal awareness of MS and help Ryan and the ziMS Foundation in their noble programs and campaign throughout the year!
