Michael Leigh – lead vocalist 

Possessing one of the most unique & distinct voices in the Mid Atlantic region, Michael was the prime candidate to front The Reagan Years. Michael began playing the Mid Atlantic Club scene at 17, fronting & Co-founding Glam Rock Group "Neglektid Toyz". After Michael joined Mid Atlantic favorites "Mona Lisa" in 1988, Michael had established himself as one of the Premier Rock Voices & Frontmen in the Mid Atlantic. He has regularly placed in Mid Atlantic Music Monthly Magazine's Readers Poll, with consecutive top 5 nominations in categories for Best Rock Vocalist & Frontperson. In the early to mid 90's, he fronted melodic rockers "IROC". In 1994, Michael established himself as a successful solo artist & songwriter. He successfully auditioned for Capricorn Records (311,Cake) President & Founder Phil Walden, which led to his joining "The Anthony/Lively Band", which included founding members of 70's Blues-Rock legends, "Wet Willie". Michael has also recorded nationally & regionally broadcast commercials for Tavern On The Rocks, Coastal Cellular, & Bell Atlantic. Michael's uncanny reproduction of Steve Perry's vocal solidified his position as vocalist for the Journey tribute group "Midnight Blue". Immediately prior to joining TRY, Michael fronted mid-atlantic Classic Rockers "Stiff Richard". One of the elements that makes The Reagan Years so unique, is Michael's effortless ability to replicate voices from 80's icons, such as Robert Palmer and Foreigner's Lou Gramm. Michael is regarded as a "singer's singer" , and has been influenced by everyone from Soul Legends, Marvin Gaye, Sam Cooke, & Otis Redding, to rock icon's such as Robert Plant, Steve Perry, & MR BIG's Eric Martin and Tony Harnell (TNT/Westworld)". Once you experience Michael's renditions of 80's hits, you'll understand why The Reagan Years is truly the ultimate tribute to the Big 80's.
