Glenn Riley
– guitars
Glenn is a professional musician and guitar instructor that has been playing guitar since his teens. This truly blessed artist is a graduate of the Guitar Institute of Technology (GIT). Glenn travels around the United States to teach the Rock Curriculum seminars for the National Guitar Workshop at Nashville and Connecticut campuses. This is the same NGW that features Steve Vai, Marty Friedman and Andy Summers as fellow guest artists. He was recently commissioned to author his third guitar instructional book for Alfred Publishing. Glenn's prior project Dr. Brillyant
disolved only a few days before joining The Reagan Years in 2001. He is featured on Tobias Hurwitz's CD, "Painted Sky". Catchy guitar licks and complex guitar works by Eddie Van Halen, Steve Stevens and guitar gods from all eras, flow effortlessly from his fingers matching the original recordings. On stage, his antics and flashy style are captivating. Glenn often will play solos with his teeth or with the guitar behind his back or over his head. Skills like his are seldom seen venues smaller than arenas.
In the Summer of 2006, Glenn joined TRY's drummer, Sy, to form a side project that is a Smiths / Morrissey cover band called Girlfriend In A Coma. Check that and Glenn's own website, www.GlennRileyGuitar.com, out too!<

This book provides a look at the inner workings of this music, providing the tools and inspiration you need to create your own progressive rock sound. You'll learn fascinating chords, odd time signatures, metric and harmonic modulations, exotic scales and advanced guitar soloing concepts.
Finally, here is guidance for the guitarist who's ready to rise above and beyond the confines of simple rock 'n' roll and push the boundaries where few dare to go. The CD demonstrates the examples in the book. 96 pages.
